Target Storage
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
The
Key
Lack of ventilation can cause targets to warp, which may cause breakage or inconsistent flight characteristics. Here is how to fix it!
Metal storage or Connex containers are gaining in popularity as an inexpensive and secure storage option. They certainly are both; however, the lack of ventilation can cause targets to warp, which may cause breakage or inconsistent flight characteristics.
There is, however, a simple and quick fix. We recommend adding at least one roof turbine and a vent on opposite ends of the container. This creates a vacuum that adequately circulates air around the White Flyer targets, preventing unwanted damage. We also found that removing the stretch wrap and/or leaving a small space between pallets allows for additional circulation in the metal containers.
The
Best
The most ideal design would feature two roof-mounted turbine vents along with a vent in each door.
Good
One roof-mounted turbine vent on the opposite end of the door with one vent in the door is considered acceptable.
Not
Good
One roof-mounted turbine vent on the same end door would not be recommended. It will not create any cross-ventilation across the container.
